  Overview
The Liberty Belle is not a bell, or even a character. She (it?) is a replica steamboat that offers a slooow trek (via the magic of underwater rails) around the Rivers of America in the Liberty Square section of Disney World. This is one of the attractions specifically built for adults as it affords a great opportunity to relax and forget about lines.
As a boat, the Belle delivers pretty much full-on accuracy—the whistle’s there, the architecture of the boat is all historically accurate, and there are real boilers with steam. On the plus side, it’s quiet, slow-paced, and will ease the claustrophobia of being surrounded by thousands of like-minded people scurrying around on noisy machines. It may also induce heavy breathing, and in some cases snoring.
If you can, use this getaway the way it was meant to; perhaps set up a meeting place with your children and allow them to go on a nearby ride while you take a load off your feet. If you can actually persuade your brood to join you on the ship, they can run around and explore it, as there are some walkways and open spaces for them to investigate. While they’re off carousing, you might as well try to find a quiet corner to hide in, because before they inevitably get bored and come looking for you, demanding an explanation, you can have a few extra seconds of solace.
